About Lori C. Farley, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac, Dipl. CH, M.S.O.M
Ms. Farley began a career in acupuncture in a round about way. She has always been interested in the human body and how it works. Her first degree was in Microbiology, but when her career options were limited by this degree, she returned to Oklahoma State University and earned a Mechanical Engineering degree. This combination opened doors in DuPont Chemical Company in the Biomedical Products Dept. where she worked for twelve years.
"Although I enjoyed working in the corporate environment, I found myself working with individual employees, helping them find ways to improve their health. So, I began looking for a way to work with people on a more personal level."
Lori's search led her into Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy, but the work was too physically demanding so she kept searching until she found acupuncture. Acupuncture allows her to work with people one-to-one, to act as a catalyst in helping them find their own method of healing.
Ms. Farley was licensed in massage therapy in New Mexico where she had a thriving business in massage therapy before starting acupuncture school at Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM.
She is a licensed by the state of Oregon Medical Examiners Board, and is National Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Commission of the Certification of Acupuncturists.
Lori and her husband live in Sutherlin, OR where she will be offering acupuncture for Douglas county residents.
